Ziptrak ® Straight Drop AwningsMotorised, elegant, track zip guided blinds in Adelaide
Ziptrak ® Straight Drop Awnings are part of a new range of next generation outdoor blinds made specifically for patio, cafe and verandah areas. Unlike other styles, the fabric on Ziptrak blinds is restrained in aluminium side channels making the product easy to use, highly windproof and modern.
Stan Bond Ziptrak ® outside blinds are custom made to suit patio areas and windows. The product is generally spring operated and can be easily lifted by hand. With no zippers, cords or winders the Ziptrak® system is one of the easiest and most elegant blinds in the Stan Bond outdoor range. One advantage of track guided systems such as Ziptrak® is that it creates a strong barrier to reasonable winds, rain and heat. This makes it perfect for closing off outdoor spaces and making them more inviting as entertaining areas. Note, Ziptrak blinds are not designed to be left down during storm conditions.
The Ziptrak ® track guided blind system has specially designed aluminum tracks in which the blind moves smoothly and easily up and down. The blind can be secured and locked in the down position to guard against winds. No ropes, pulleys or handles are required. Please note that Ziptrak Blinds do have a tendancy to have ripples or waves in the fabric when it is only pulled 'half way' down due to the difference in thickness caused by the side spline rolling around the top tube. This is normal to all Ziptrak blinds and most of its competitors. If this is an issue then consider Zipscreen Blinds which use a reducer to acheive a flatter (although not perfectly flat) result. The new central lock release mechanism is mounted inside the recess of the Ziptrak® bottom rail, and it consists of a handle which will retract a locking tongue on each end of the bottom rail by pulling it in the up direction, the locking tongues retraction will allow the bottom bar guide to move pass a mechanical stop mounted on the face of the Ziptrak® bracket channel. The pulling of the handle up, can be done by hand, or by using a pull stick, which eliminates the need to bend down in order to reach the handle. By pushing the bottom rail down to its locking position the shape of the mechanical stops on the Ziptrak bracket channels will cause the locking tongues to retract, and spring out again at the locking position automatically. The operating handle of the new locking release mechanism can be mounted in an offset to the centre position to overcome obstacles. In the near future we will announce the development completion of an optional reverse handle to release the lock from both sides of the blinds, and special mechanical stoppers for face fix installations.
